Upcoming cosy The Lord of the Rings game set in the Middle-earth universe inspired by the books of J.R.R. Tolkien arrives later this year

Private Division, a publishing label of Take-Two Interactive Software, Inc. (NASDAQ: TTWO), and Wētā Workshop, known for their work on the world of Middle-earth for The Lord of the Rings film trilogy, today revealed Tales of the Shire: A The Lord of the Rings Game, a cosy Hobbit life sim set in the Middle-earth universe of J.R.R. Tolkien. Developed by Wētā Workshop Game Studio, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Wētā Workshop, Tales of the Shire will launch in the second half of 2024 on the Nintendo Switch™ system, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.

In Tales of the Shire, experience the storybook return to Middle-earth’s most inviting region by living life as a Hobbit in the idyllic town of Bywater. Unwind in the breathtaking pastures, visit the townsfolks’ local shops, or even enjoy second breakfast. Help bring the community together and achieve official village status by throwing the greatest Bywater Festival the Shire has ever seen!

“We’re excited to provide players with the opportunity to fulfil their fantasy of living their own humble Hobbit life in the Shire,” said Kelly Tyson, Head of Product at Wētā Workshop. “Tales of the Shire brings a cosy new dimension to the way fans can experience Middle-earth, with plenty of wholesome, Hobbit-centric gameplay to win-over newcomers to the genre.”

Create and personalise a Hobbit with an array of customisations to experience the world of J.R.R. Tolkien’s beloved Middle-earth universe your own way. Settle in and decorate a cosy Hobbit home, choosing from an array of furniture and home décor to create your unique, humble abode. Then head outdoors to Bywater for plenty of cooking, fishing, foraging, gardening, and more relaxing activities in the Shire. Toss your lure to catch trout from the glistening waters of Bywater Pool, gather wild mushrooms, and then use the collected ingredients to bake a succulent pie to serve for luncheon. With a full belly, stroll back outside to explore the Shire and build relationships with the Bywater locals by helping them to build a garden, sharing one of the many daily Hobbit meals, and more.

“The team at Wētā Workshop is creating a brilliant representation of J.R.R. Tolkien’s beloved works that gives players the agency to create their own Hobbit experience in Middle-earth,” said Michael Worosz, Chief Strategy Officer, Take-Two Interactive, and Head of Private Division. “Players have been clamoring for a warm and inviting The Lord of the Rings game for years now, and it’s exactly what we’re delivering with Tales of the Shire.”

Middle-earth Enterprises have licensed the literary works of The Lord of the Rings series, providing Wētā Workshop Game Studio with the broadest creative license to interpret the underlying lore of the books.

Launch Trailer shows Epic Boss Battles amidst a dense, painterly art style

Private Division, a publishing label of Take-Two Interactive Software, Inc. (NASDAQ: TTWO), and Moon Studios are proud to announce that No Rest for the Wicked is now available on PC (via Steam) Early Access for an introductory price of $35.99* on Steam and the Private Division Store.

Once purchased on Steam, No Rest for the Wicked is also playable by streaming the game via the NVIDIA GeForce NOW cloud gaming service (separate membership and sign-up required) — giving gamers instant access to GeForce PC performance on compatible PCs, Macs, SHIELD TVs, Android and iOS devices or Chromebooks without any downloads. Learn more about NVIDIA GeForce NOW here.

No Rest for the Wicked is a mature, precision Action Role-Playing Game (ARPG). The game features brutal combat, a richly detailed world, item crafting, and a customization system that enables your character to create unique equipment and housing with the help of your collection of artisans. No Rest for the Wicked features a deep plot supported by a rich cast of characters, all wrapped up in Moon’s signature visual style that is as beautiful as an oil painting. The game is Moon’s bold foray into the genre after successfully launching two critically acclaimed, multiple award-winning games – Ori and the Blind Forest and Ori and the Will of the Wisps.

No Rest for the Wicked’s launch trailer unveils the unique, painterly world of the game, where precise strikes and deadly moves drench the intricate game world in crimson hues, inviting players into a thrilling ARPG experience like no other. Check out Wicked’s Early Access Launch Trailer here.

No Rest for the Wicked has been a wild ride for all of us at Moon Studios, and we’re stoked to finally share it with the world through our Early Access launch,” said Thomas Mahler, Co-Founder and Creative Director at Moon Studios. “As hardcore Action RPG fans ourselves, this project is super-close to our hearts. We’re all about pushing the genre’s limits and giving players an unforgettable experience like no other. We’re not just making another Action RPG with No Rest for the Wicked. We’re aiming to redefine the genre and create something truly unique and unforgettable. We’re pushing the boundaries and challenging ourselves to deliver an experience like no other.”

With No Rest for the Wicked‘s precision-based battle system, Moon is redefining the art of combat. In No Rest for the Wicked, combat is animation-driven, direct, and tactile, empowering skilled players to execute visceral strikes and lethal manoeuvres. This innovative system promises players a deeply gratifying gameplay experience, distinguishing itself from conventional isometric ARPGs by emphasising skill and timing over simple ‘button-mashing’.

Moreover, combat serves as the catalyst for players to shape their unique class identities. Each weapon boasts its own distinctive move set and can be tailored further with runes, upgrades, and more. Players are not constrained by rigid class structures but are instead offered the freedom to define characters from a rich assortment of gear, enhancements, modifiers, and special abilities.

“Over the past six years, we’ve poured our hearts and souls into creating a next level ARPG experience, one that we hope will push the genre forward,” said Gennadiy Korol, Co-Founder, Technology, and Production Director at Moon Studios. “The Early Access launch of No Rest for the Wicked is a monumental achievement for our team and it marks a new chapter in our company’s history on the road towards 1.0. We thrive on seeing everyone’s reactions and we are committed to this project for the long run. Our team will be meticulously studying and reviewing player feedback as we continue to expand, refine, and perfect the game.”

The painterly art direction and visceral combat of No Rest for the Wicked are elevated by a mature, dark narrative. Set in the year 841, the kingdom faces a crucial moment with the passing of King Harol Bolein, sparking a catastrophic conflict as the peaceful transition of power descends into chaos. Amidst this political turmoil, a deadly plague resurfaces on the remote island of Sacra, corrupting both the land and its denizens. Players are thrust into the fray, wielding their weapons against grotesque beasts and the invading forces of the kingdom, navigating a turbulent atmosphere where every direction pulls them deeper into the maelstrom of chaos.

“What Moon Studios has accomplished with the Early Access launch of No Rest for the Wicked is truly remarkable, showcasing artistic and technical excellence,” said Paul Berry, Lead Producer for No Rest of the Wicked. “Private Division is delighted to collaborate with the exceptionally talented team at Moon Studios to further innovate the ARPG genre and embark on this game’s exciting journey.”

No Rest for the Wicked is poised for significant content expansions leading up to its 1.0 release. The game’s first update will introduce an innovative multiplayer experience, allowing players to team up together and compete against one another in PvP combat. The game’s second update will introduce a major expansion to the game’s world, featuring new enemies and storylines, with much more new content to follow thereafter. Stay tuned as No Rest for the Wicked continues to expand with exciting updates on the horizon.

No Rest for the Wicked is in development and launches in Early Access on Steam today, April 18, 2024. A full release on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC is planned for some time after Early Access. No Rest for the Wicked is rated M for Mature by the ESRB. For more information on No Rest for the Wicked, subscribe on YouTube, follow us on X, become a fan on Facebook or Instagram, and visit www.NoRestForTheWicked.com.

*   No Rest for the Wicked’s special introductory price is valid through 2nd May 2024 at 9am PT, after which, the SRP for the game will increase to $39.99. All pricing based on Private Division’s suggested retail price. Actual retail price may differ. See local store for pricing and terms.

The all-new 3D platforming game from Private Division and Evening Star has plenty of tricks up its sleeve. It’s time to YO!

News of the surprise launch was featured in today’s Nintendo Direct: Partner Showcase

Private Division, a publishing label of Take-Two Interactive Software, Inc. (NASDAQ: TTWO), and Evening Star announced today that Penny’s Big Breakaway is out now for the Nintendo Switch™ family of systems, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. From the team that brought you Sonic Mania comes this imaginative new kinetic 3D platformer bursting with innovative gameplay.

Playing as Penny, the ‘yo-tagonist’, you swing, dash, flip, zip, and trick your way through a variety of challenging and beautifully stylized levels. Over the course of 11 exciting game worlds and dozens of levels, Penny and her comic Yo-Yo companion must escape capture from Eddie the Emperor and his penguin forces.

“Great platformers are iconic in our industry, and we think Penny’s Big Breakaway stands out as a truly unique and incredibly fun entry in such a beloved genre,” said Christian Whitehead, Creative Director at Evening Star. “We have been thrilled with the fan response of Penny’s Big Breakaway so far and can’t wait to see the leaderboards light up as players get into the game.”

Penny’s Big Breakaway provides non-stop action as you try to escape the impending penguin horde at every turn. These waddling, avian adversaries will burst from walls, rush over cliffs, and attempt to dogpile you to stop your progress. But don’t fret — Penny is an agile and acrobatic aerialist. You will jump, spin, and ride over a variety of brightly colored and complex terrains, featuring steep ramps, sharp ledges, massive cliffs, and more. Every obstacle is an opportunity to increase your speed, allowing you to use the environment to your advantage and gain a bit of breathing room from those flightless assailants in hot pursuit. Momentum is key, because in addition to Story Mode, Penny’s Big Breakaway also includes a Time Attack Mode, where you can try and achieve the perfect run and set high scores on the leaderboard for the world to see.

Penny isn’t the only star of this show: her trusty partner Yo-Yo, while largely to blame for causing this chase, provides plenty of abilities to assist in your getaway. Throughout the game, you can unlock tasty treats which her Yo-Yo can snack on. When consumed, these delicious items will temporarily unlock new power ups such as increased movement speed, a protective shield, and many more. In addition to powerups, Penny’s Yo-Yo can pick up various single-use tools, which can be used to bust down walls revealing secret treasure or magnetically attach to new surfaces for greater exploration. Her versatile Yo-Yo might be hungry for chaos, but it could also be just the trick to clear her name and absolve her of this massive mix-up.

“The team of developers at Evening Star have a strong track record in creating incredible platforming experiences, and with Penny’s Big Breakaway they’ve created an entry into the genre that’s nonstop fun with broad appeal,” said Rachael Berkman, Producer at Private Division. “From platforming enthusiasts to adamant speedrunners alike, we think Penny will capture the hearts of players around the world.”

Penny’s Big Breakaway is available now for the Nintendo Switch family of systems, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Penny’s Big Breakaway is rated E for Everyone by the ESRB. For more information on Penny’s Big Breakaway, subscribe on YouTube, follow us on Twitter, become a fan on Facebook, follow on Instagram, and visit www.pennysbigbreakaway.com.

No Rest for the Wicked will be released in Early Access on PC (via Steam) in the first quarter of calendar 2024 during Take-Two’s Fiscal Year 2024, with a full release on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC planned for some time after Early Access. Check out the official trailer, which premiered during this year’s The Game Awards, on YouTube.

Further details about the game will be announced during “Wicked Inside”, a digital showcase airing on March 1, 2024, on Twitch and YouTube. For more information on “Wicked Inside”, subscribe on YouTube, follow us on X, become a fan on Facebook or Instagram, and visit www.NoRestForTheWicked.com.

No Rest for the Wicked introduces a hand-crafted world, rich in details and with an inimitable, “painting” art style. Players explore an intricate and vast island called Isola Sacra that allows them to experience verticality in a way that is unmatched in other ARPGs with spelunking depths of crypts, lush forests, and treacherous mountain passes. Each location is home to complex protagonists with their own problems, hidden treasures, ferocious creatures, and secrets to discover.

We have been dreaming of being able to contribute to the ARPG genre… After the success of Ori, it was clear to us that Moon was now mature enough to finally realize those dreams”

— Thomas Mahler, Co-Founder and Creative Director at Moon Studios

With No Rest for the Wicked’s brutal, precision-based combat system, Moon Studios is pushing the envelope on the art of combat. Fights in the game are animation-driven, direct, and tactile, allowing skilled players to combine visceral strikes and deadly moves. This innovative combat system results in a highly satisfying gameplay experience that is unique in isometric ARPGs, where skill and timing is required over simple “button-mashing.”

“We have been dreaming of being able to contribute to the ARPG genre that we all grew up with and love. After the success of Ori, it was clear to us that Moon was now mature enough to finally realize those dreams,” said Thomas Mahler, Co-Founder and Creative Director at Moon Studios. “We can’t wait to see how players will react to this entirely new take on the genre!”

For the past six years we’ve been hard at work on our dream passion project – a next-level ARPG, fueled by our love and ambition”

— Gennadiy Korol, Co-Founder, Technology and Production Director at Moon Studios

No Rest for the Wicked’s painterly art direction and brutal combat is complemented by a dark, mature narrative: In the year 841, a pivotal moment dawns upon the kingdom, marked by the passing of King Harol Bolein. A devastating conflict arises when a peaceful transition of power devolves into chaos.  In addition to this political turmoil, a deadly plague has reemerged on the remote island of Sacra, twisting the land and its inhabitants. Players must brandish their arms in an effort to quell both the grotesque beasts and the Kingdom’s invading army throughout a turbulent atmosphere where they are pulled in every direction.

“For the past six years we’ve been hard at work on our dream passion project – a next-level ARPG, fueled by our love and ambition for tight gameplay mechanics and world building,” said Gennadiy Korol, Co-Founder, Technology and Production Director at Moon Studios. “We are excited to reveal our own take on what we’ve always envisioned as the core canons of the ARPG genre, while taking the next steps to reimagine the elements we consider ripe for innovation.”

In No Rest for the Wicked’s multiplayer mode players can share their world and progress with up to three friends by their side in the campaign’s online co-op mode. Every quest, boss, and square foot of Isola Sacra is theirs to share with others…or they can simply venture off and do as they please.

“The wildly-talented team at Moon Studios has a proven track record of outstanding releases with a truly unique art style,” said Michael Worosz, Chief Strategy Officer, Take-Two Interactive, and Head of Private Division. “Bringing a game like ‘Wicked’ to the world is exactly the reason why we founded Private Division, and I can’t wait for gamers to experience what Moon has created.”

No Rest for the Wicked is in development and does not yet have an announced release date.  It is expected to first release in Early Access on Steam during Take-Two’s Fiscal Year 2024. A full release on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC is planned for some time after Early Access.  More details will be revealed during “Wicked Inside”, the digital showcase airing on March 1, 2024. No Rest for the Wicked is not yet rated by the ESRB.  For more information on No Rest for the Wicked, subscribe on YouTube, follow us on X, become a fan on Facebook or Instagram, and visit www.NoRestForTheWicked.com.

From the team that brought you Sonic Mania comes an all-new 3D platforming game with plenty of tricks up its sleeve. Ready, set, YO!

Private Division, a publishing label of Take-Two Interactive Software, Inc. (NASDAQ: TTWO), and Evening Star today announced an imaginative new platforming action game, Penny’s Big Breakaway, coming to Nintendo Switch™, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC early next year. Prepare yourself for a beautifully stylized, colorful adventure in which you play Penny, the ‘yo-tagonist’, and try to escape an endless, bumbling penguin army as you swing, dash, flip, zip, and trick your way through a variety of challenging levels.

In Penny’s Big Breakaway, you play Penny, an aspiring court performer who is on the run after her yo-yo created quite the commotion during her audition at the royal palace. In response, Eddie the Emperor commands his loyal penguin forces to capture Penny and her stringed companion, Yo-Yo. The chase is then on, and it is up to you to help our hero escape capture over the course of 12 vibrant, geometric worlds!

“At Evening Star, we have a deep passion for expressive, character-driven games that focus on a concise and satisfying move-set. For our debut title, we challenged ourselves to bring that approach into not only a new IP, but to an entire 3D world,” said Christian Whitehead, Creative Director at Evening Star. “Penny’s Big Breakaway has been a wonderful opportunity for our team to grow creatively and technically as a studio, and we can’t wait for players to perform plenty of slick tricks with Penny and Yo-Yo!”

Built on Evening Star’s proprietary own Star Engine, Penny’s Big Breakaway provides non-stop action as you try to escape the impending penguin horde in each level. These waddling, avian adversaries will burst from walls, rush over cliffs, and attempt to dogpile you in an attempt to stop your progress at every turn. But don’t fret — Penny is an agile and acrobatic aerialist. You will jump, spin, and ride over a variety of brightly colored and complex terrain, featuring steep ramps, sharp ledges, massive cliffs, and more. Each obstacle is an opportunity to increase your speed and gain a bit of breathing room from those flightless assailants in hot pursuit. Be sure to keep up your momentum while playing, because in addition to Story Mode, Penny’s Big Breakaway also includes a Time Attack Mode, where you can try and achieve the perfect run and set high scores on the leaderboard for the world to see.

Penny isn’t the only star of this show: her trusty partner Yo-Yo, while largely to blame for causing this chase, provides plenty of abilities to assist in your getaway. Throughout the game, you can find tasty treats which her yo-yo can snack on. When consumed, these delicious items will temporarily unlock new power ups such as increased movement speed, a protective shield, and more. In addition to powerups, Penny’s yo-yo can pick up a variety of single-use tools, which can be used to bust down an area revealing secret treasure or magnetically pull in collectibles just outside Penny’s reach. Her versatile yo-yo might be hungry for chaos, but it could also be just the trick to clear her name and absolve her of this massive mix-up.

“Evening Star are experts in the platforming genre, having been entrusted with an iconic gaming franchise, and delivered one of the best platforming experiences in recent years,” said Michael Worosz, Chief Strategy Officer, Take-Two Interactive, and Head of Private Division. “Penny’s Big Breakaway is an exciting debut title that brings an all-new protagonist to life in a memorable world, and it has an enormous opportunity to be a smashing success due to its broad appeal.”

Penny’s Big Breakaway is planned to release for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC early next year during Take-Two’s Fiscal Year 2024. Penny’s Big Breakaway is not yet rated by the ESRB. Label expands upcoming portfolio with another exciting partnership; unveils new funding options for smaller scale projects with the Private Division Development Fund

Private Division, a publishing label of Take-Two Interactive Software, Inc. (NASDAQ: TTWO), today celebrated its 5th anniversary of the label by revealing a publishing agreement with Bloober Team. The independent Polish developer is best known for creating psychological horror games and is working on an upcoming unannounced new survival horror IP in partnership with Private Division. Additionally, the label unveiled the Private Division Development Fund to support smaller independent development teams with project financing and mentorship opportunities to enable them to self-publish their ambitious titles. Private Division is also marking their 5th anniversary by releasing a video highlighting its internal studios and developers they have recently partnered with for upcoming releases.

“Whether we’re partnering with established developers like Bloober Team, or smaller independent studios embarking on new projects, we strive to work with teams who are among the absolute best at their craft and support them in their bold and creative ambitions,” said Michael Worosz, Chief Strategy Officer, Take-Two Interactive, and Head of Private Division. “It’s exciting to grow our portfolio into a new genre by adding one of Europe’s most successful independent teams to our talented roster of development partners.”

Bloober Team, well-known for creating horror games such as the Layers of Fear franchise, The Medium, Observer, and more, are developing a new survival-horror game to be published by Private Division. The title is in early development and does not yet have an announced release date. It is not expected to launch before calendar 2025. Private Division and Bloober Team look forward to sharing more details about this game in the future.

“It’s exciting to grow our portfolio into a new genre by adding one of Europe’s most successful independent teams to our talented roster of development partners.”

— Michael Worosz, Chief Strategy Officer, Take-Two Interactive, and Head of Private Division

“Our next project is an exciting new survival-horror game, which will help us become a leader in the horror industry at large,” said Piotr Babieno, Chief Executive Officer of Bloober Team. “I am grateful for this cooperation with Private Division. Their expertise is extensive, and their people are also very approachable. We don’t perceive them in a typical ‘publisher-developer’ relationship; they’re more like a friend who shows us support or keeps us in line when we need it most.”

Alongside the publishing agreement with Bloober Team, Private Division has also announced the Private Division Development Fund. This fund provides a new vehicle to support projects from smaller developers with project financing and to empower these teams to self-publish their games. The label has committed to supporting several developers in bringing their creative visions to life under the Private Division Development Fund, including Die Gute Fabrik, Radical Forge, and Lost Native.

“We don’t perceive them in a typical ‘publisher-developer’ relationship; they’re more like a friend who shows us support or keeps us in line when we need it most.”

— Piotr Babieno, Chief Executive Officer of Bloober Team

“Since we announced Private Division five years ago, we’ve seen a number of promising game ideas from smaller teams that didn’t quite fit with our full-fledged publishing model,” said Blake Rochkind, Head of Business Development at Private Division. “We knew we could not simply have a one-size-fits-all approach in today’s world. We never like to say ‘no’ to an incredible game concept due to the size of the project, and the Private Division Development Fund enables us to identify and support some of the best creative ideas our industry has to offer.”

Today marks the 5th anniversary of Private Division’s announcement as a new publishing label within Take-Two, and to commemorate the occasion the team has released a Private Division Label Update Video. Showcasing the talent, passion, and creativity that makes Private Division and the teams they partner with stand out, this video features the Label’s publishing team, internal studios, and recently signed developers that will drive the Private Division forward in the years to come.

The sequel to the original critically-acclaimed space flight simulator blasts off early next year with many exciting new features releasing over the course of Early Access

Private Division and Intercept Games today announced that Kerbal Space Program 2, the sequel to the beloved rocket building sim, will launch in Early Access on February 24, 2023 for PC on Steam, Epic Game Store, and other storefronts. Kerbal Space Program 2 will bring an array of content at the launch of Early Access for players to explore, including hundreds of new and improved parts to build a variety of vehicles and rockets; time warp under acceleration allowing for improved long-distance flights; and vastly superior graphics featuring a planetary atmosphere and terrain system to make this the most visually impressive KSP game yet! The game will also feature improved tutorials and user onboarding to provide players with the necessary knowledge to excel at space flight. Those that purchase Kerbal Space Program 2 in Early Access will help inform the future development of the game by providing feedback directly to its creators leading up to the full launch of the title.

The core experience will be better than ever in Kerbal Space Program 2, as players will have near limitless possibilities with the tools at their disposal to construct advanced spacecrafts and lunar vehicles. When the game launches in Early Access, there will be over 350 new and improved parts to build with, including engines, fuel tanks, procedural part systems, and much more. From this deep parts box, players can craft planes, rockets, rovers, and other creations for their adventures. Kerbal Space Program 2 will also introduce the ability to customize and paint vehicles, leading to deeper personalization and expression in every build.

In addition to this greater array of new parts, the game will feature rich environments to explore. At the launch of Early Access, players will be able to travel fully throughout the Kerbolar system. Blast off from the beautiful Kerbin, explore the pockmarked and breathtaking Mun, see the towering green clouds of Jool, and discover stunning vistas on these remade celestial bodies! All these classic locations have been reimagined, bringing all-new levels of realism and complexity through a terrain system that will provide new challenges when selecting a landing site. Fans will also enjoy sailing through beautiful cloudscapes thanks to the new planetary atmosphere system.

“We are so excited to release Kerbal Space Program 2 in Early Access because it will allow Kerbal fans to see for themselves all the amazing progress we’ve made as we reach the final stages of development,” said Nate Simpson, Creative Director at Intercept Games. “At its heart, KSP2 is about exploration, discovery, and conquering the force of gravity by adding more boosters.”

Built from the ground up, Kerbal Space Program 2 will teach the joy of accidentally learning rocket science to a new generation of players while providing unique challenges and innovative capabilities to seasoned Kerbal veterans. Fully-interactive animated tutorials will reveal the secrets of rocketry, while a revamped vehicle assembly interface combines ease of use and powerful new vehicle creation tools. The sequel will feature massive user experience improvements ranging from enhanced map and maneuver iconography to an all-new flight HUD. The time warp system not only includes more zoom levels, but it will also allow the player to pause time while interacting with controls. For long distance flights, players can now use time warp while accelerating, to remove long waits during interplanetary travel. Finally, improved contextual information will give players a better idea how to respond to unexpected vehicle failures.

“By releasing in Early Access, we are entering a new phase in which players get to experience greatly anticipated systems, features, updates and more as they come online,” said Nestor Gomez, Lead Producer for Kerbal Space Program 2 at Intercept Games. “We will be listening and seeing the reactions to these changes; and much like the original game, this journey will help us leverage a massively powerful tool: our passionate community.”

After Kerbal Space Program 2 launches in Early Access, Intercept Games will release multiple game-changing features throughout the proceeding months. Some of the highlights to come include:

  • Next-Generation Technology: Players will unlock future technologies, allowing them to build at larger scales and use new fuels or propulsion systems. These capabilities will enable players to venture beyond the limits of the original Kerbolar System and into unexplored star systems.
  • Colonies: A highly requested and anticipated feature for the sequel, players will be able to locate and extract valuable resources, then use those materials to build custom bases on distant celestial bodies or in deep space. Players will need to add power generation, habitation, and vehicle assembly models to colonies, and then can use it as a low-gravity launch complex from which to embark on more ambitious journeys!
  • Interstellar Travel: KSP2 presents players with the challenge of interstellar navigation. They must venture across the gulf of interstellar space inside fusion-powered megaships capable of incredible speeds. Upon arrival at new star systems, they will be able to deploy landers and rovers to explore the planets waiting to be discovered.
  • Multiplayer: Players will be able to both cooperate and compete with friends to explore space together and achieve historic milestones in their own space race. Multiplayer unlocks endless potential for adventures, completists, and “unexpected” vehicle collisions!
  • Modding: Kerbal fans are keen to share the plethora of mods available for the original game, and Intercept Games plans to make the sequel even more mod-friendly by releasing additional developments aimed to support the modding community.
  • And more: There will be plenty of quality-of-life improvements, bug fixes, features, and more as the game develops in Early Access, so stay tuned for updates!

Third-person shooter melds high-octane combat with adrenaline-fueled skate stunts for a truly unique retro-futuristic action experience!

Coming to PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC on August 16

Private Division and Roll7 today announced that Rollerdrome will launch on August 16, 2022 for digital download on PlayStation®4, PlayStation®5 system and on PC (Steam). In this single-player, third-person shooter, players experience the thrill of fusing fluid movements and stylish tricking mechanics with adrenaline-pumping shooter action. This wildly imaginative shooter-skater hybrid game is set in a darkly dystopian retrofuture and is being developed by Roll7, the creators of the critically acclaimed OlliOlli World and masterminds of flow state gaming.

Rollerdrome is another prime example of their innovative spirit as this talented group once again pushes the boundaries of movement with this wholly unique shooter experience.

– Michael Worosz, Chief Strategy Officer, Take-Two Interactive, and Head of Private Division

Rollerdrome introduces a distinct retro-futuristic universe with a unique identity. The comic-book inspired art style comes to life with an all-new and fully original soundtrack. The Darksynth musical artist Electric Dragon merges iconic 1970’s textures and sounds with modern day driving beats and cutting-edge production to provide a heart-thumping backdrop to the carnage.

The game is set in 2030, in a world where the public are kept distracted from an increasingly sinister political situation by the violence and excess of a brutal new arena sport: Rollerdrome. The lines between reality and performance in this blood sport are blurred, with participants chosen to compete in a series of gauntlets against the deadly House Players. Competitors in this vicious spectacle attempt to achieve the highest score possible by combining eliminations with flashy tricks while also successfully completing numerous challenges.

It’s been amazing to see this project come to life from the original prototype that received a lot of love online, all the way to the brutal and intense experience it is now – thanks to the amazing work of the team at Roll7

– Paul Rabbitte, Creative Director at Roll7

Players step into the roller skates of Kara Hassan, a newcomer to this brutal sport. As the mysteries of a wicked tech giant unfold behind the scenes, Kara and the player will have to stay focused on their goal –       climbing the ranks in hopes of becoming the next Rollerdrome champion.

“It’s been amazing to see this project come to life from the original prototype that received a lot of love online, all the way to the brutal and intense experience it is now – thanks to the amazing work of the team at Roll7″ says Paul Rabbitte, Creative Director at Roll7. “We’re really excited for players to jump into Rollerdrome.”

“Roll7 have proven that they successfully come up with truly innovative games that combine original gameplay with an outstanding art style,” said Michael Worosz, Chief Strategy Officer, Take-Two Interactive, and Head of Private Division. “Rollerdrome is another prime example of their innovative spirit as this talented group once again pushes the boundaries of movement with this wholly unique shooter experience.”

Rollerdrome is developed by Roll7, the BAFTA and multi-award-winning London based studio famous for re-defining genres and creating remarkable games like OlliOlli, OlliOlli 2: Welcome to Olliwood, OlliOlli World, Laser League, and NOT A HERO.

Rollerdrome will be available for digital download for $29.99* on August 16, 2022, on PlayStation®4, PlayStation®5 as well as PC (Steam). Rollerdrome is rated M for Mature by the ESRB.
